The Concept of Preselling

Today I figured I would talk about probably the most important topic of not just building affiliate sites to make commissions but affiliate marketing in general.

So what is preselling? It is the art of getting your potential customers to buy whatever it is your affiliate business is offering. But since your site does not sell anything directly you must warm up your visitors to click through your affiliate link and hopefully buy on the merchant's page.

This is the hardest part for any affiliate beginner to grasp because there is no practical way of doing it. But I will tell you the best way to presell anybody to buy. That is through TRUST. That is the stuff the winning affiliate sites build with visitors.

The more trust there is between your visitors and you the more likely they will consider your recommendation for whatever affiliate product you are promoting. Which is very similiar to just about any business not just in affiliate marketing.

So now I will share with you my affiliate strategy for getting my visitors to buy. What my affiliate sites really hinge on is the content. I do not rely on flashy banner ads or PPC marketing landing pages to get my affiliate sales.

No, it is the quality of my content. The more helpful your content is the more people will stick around long enough to take action. It all starts with the content. Also another great thing to have is your picture which immediately builds trust. So am I saying the more valuable content you have, the better? Absolutely.

But on top of that it is always best to have a great product that you really would recommend. Because believe it or not there are many quality products out there that really help people. There are plenty on clickbank especially for the big markets like weight loss. But it really helps to teach and educate your readers about the topic.

So once the trust is built through valuable content that helps the visitor they will then know you are for real and not some salesman who is after their money. Because once you go through getting the great content on your affiliate site you will learn that you really are not.

Ok now that you got the visitor excited it is time to go into a good recommendation and give a good explanation as to why you recommend this certain product. It has to be a good reason. But always keep in mind that it is a recommendation and never a hard sell.

That is what affiliate marketing is all about. Having a full review on your affiliate page is great because at the end of an article you just wrote you could give a link to that review so they can learn more about the product. Then provide them with an honest review and you are good.

By doing this right which is not complicated and by having a lot of visitors at a time you will boost your conversions up between 1-3% which is great for your affiliate business. Let's say you get a good position on google for your affiliate site and you get a hundred people visiting each day.

Then out of that hundred 2 people buy. If it is a clickbank product you are selling then chances are you get at least $20 for each sell which is a very nice profit for that one site.
