Seasonal Trends in Affiliate Marketing

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all affiliate marketers! Today I thought it would be good to make a quick post about how affiliate marketing is effected through each season. Now obviously this includes the holidays which it sky rockets during Christmas with everybody wanting to buy gifts online.

But whether it is Christmas time or around the fourth of July the trends in affiliate marketing might change a little but not in a bad way. I am just addressing this so you can use this information as your advantage.

I am not saying that when a holiday comes up that you should forget about your current affiliate sites and start new ones directed towards selling Halloween decorations or whatever. I am saying that you should be creative and whatever affiliate sites you have right now think about what you can promote that is relevant to the time of year it is.

A very good example that I am personally taking advantage of big time is promoting weight loss programs for the New Year. If you ever heard or thought about losing weight for your New Years resolution then you know how profitable this truly is.

To be honest I have not actually experienced any results since my affiliate business did not take off until just a few months ago. But I got the idea from another affiliate marketer who was talking about it on his affiliate site and how he profited from all the extra affiliate commissions he made through clickbank.

This is a great idea since many affiliate marketers have weight loss sites up promoting a good clickbank product like Fat Loss 4 Idiots.

But this is just one idea out of a ton. I know this post would have been helpful a month ago but I wrote a post about taking advantage of the Christmas season too. Anyway think about the future like the holidays that are happening in spring time.

Building a site targeting Valentine's Day gifts is a great idea and if you start now you could very well make thousands by building an affiliate site targeted towards good buying keywords like Valentine's Day gifts. By outranking all the big store sites like Target you will steal sales from them. And there ain't nothing sweeter than robbing a big corporation for its sales.

This is just a thought but it could be very effective and it only takes some work each day to really get things going.

Halloween is another great holiday with big opportinuty for affiliate marketers. Build a site around different costumes and you could walk away with plenty of seasonal spendings.

None of the holidays really compare to Christmas. So keep all this in mind for when more holidays come around and think about the weight loss site idea.
