Affiliate Strategies for
Success
Hey everybody,
I just got back from a great weekend with family and friends
and am now ready to get back to my affiliate business. Hope
everybody had a great Christmas and is ready to work on their
affiliate marketing business as well.
So what I decided I am going to do this week is do a little
series of posts focusing on different affiliate strategies for
success because I know as a beginner there is nothing harder
than to make your first clickbank commission.
But keep in mind that the new decade will be starting soon
and there is no better New Years resolution than taking your
home based business to a new level. So for todays affiliate
strategy I want to focus on knowing your audience and buying
keywords.
Knowing the Visitors of Your Affiliate
Site
Basically what you need to do for any affiliate site you set
up is have a very good idea of what your visitors are looking
for before they even find your site. You should know this right
when you decide on a keyword to target from the very beginning.
I like to break down the different kinds of keywords there are
and therefore have different visitors.
First there are buying keywords. These are the most specific
terms that people search for right when they are ready to buy.
Even though there might not be that much volume the conversion
rates are at a peak. Some examples would be product names like
"dell laptop" or "fat loss 4 idiots". If you are promoting
affiliate products through clickbank then chances are they are
very competitive as opposed to targeting a random product on
amazon.
But either way you can outrank your competitors easily. It
is worth it in the end anyway. So when you do build an
affiliate site around a buying keyword you will most likely be
writing a review on the product name. These are excellent for
making money because about half of the visitors are just
looking for the product anyway.
So a keen trick to making quick affiliate sales is when your
site ranks high on google and you are getting plenty of traffic
you should write a short review highlighting the benefits of
the product and why you recommend it. Honesty plays a role in
it as well so you should always mention what is wrong with the
product. I will get deeper into how to write very profitable
reviews later on.
But think about what the visitor is thinking when they
search for the product name. They are looking for that product
because they are most likely wanting to buy it. Many times they
will want a quick review on it which is why you can have the
title be (product name) and review.
At the top of the post it is a great idea to weed out the
skimmers right away by saying something like "If you are
looking for the product name site then click here" and have
your affiliate link be right in there for easy sales.
Then you go into a in-depth honest review so you presell the
folks who are interested in what you have to say. Targeting
buying keywords for an affiliate site is great for beginners
but it takes some practice.
